I just went out with a flashlight and checked — 155/80R-12.

How much effort are we talking about?

I'm the opposite. The car is only half paid off right now, but I could warm to it slowly.

I can have a light touch with an Exacto knife. Just enough to break the skin of the Plastidip.

The number of projects I’ve taken on, got working properly and then drove/ridden just a couple of times to find it wasn’t all I’d expected it to be is...ridiculous. Having then lost interest, they end up collecting dust, rather than being sold off ASAP.

The level of effort I’m willing to put in to the MPGuino is about enough to put it in the mail, but not enough to post it for sale and screw around with “tire-kickers”.

These days, I wait for people to come to me if they want anything of me...rather than offer whatever and be lucky to get a thank-you out of them for my efforts.

Read between the lines, man!! 😁

I think I'll just focus on getting the thing paid off.

Can you compare what it gets you to the Eco-light on the XFi?

You can compare it to whatever you want, I’ve not had the privilege of driving an XFI. Unlike the light, it will give you continuous feedback, rather than just reminding you to shift.

Instant MPG, instant gallons per hour, tank MPG, current trip MPG, and some more minor stuff.

BTW, I know I was being oblique, but...I wasn’t suggesting trying to make your own MPGuino...or trying to make you buy mine. You can have it, if you pick up the tab for shipping. I was just waiting for you to ask “how much!”.

3 billion dohlars!

(No idea. Canada post is over priced, just a head's up)

($9.23 says the online calculator, assuming you're in Washington. In Canadian Pesos.)

(That's BS! It would cost me more to ship it within my own province!)

Don't use Walmart. What's your point? nevermind.

Stubby79 — Would it be legal to drop a US$20 bill in an envelope?

I went outdoors for the first time in 20 hours (Halloween Full Moon) and my new[ish] car was beeping. ??!?

I turned the ignition on and off and it didn't help. But that told me it wasn't the seat belt beeper.

I determined to disconnect the battery, but as soon as I found the hood release and pulled it, the beeping stopped.

Is it haunted?

In any case. The engine compartment is really clean. I blew the pine needles out with a leaf blower. It looks like it will respond well to a Chris Fix-style super cleaning. It does need a new red rubber boot on the battery's positive terminal. The only oil stain is below the filler cap, prolly a sloppy fill.

I've never had a 1-liter engine before. It's tiny.
