I remember when most 1-litre engines in my country still had 4 cylinders, even though the Suzuki Swift already featured this 3-banger. Quite surprising was the fact that Suzuki resorted to the same 4-cyl 970cc fitted to the Samurai and the Carry microvans to the Indian and Chinese versions of the Swift by then, and it was slightly larger.

The common 3 cylinder around here is a 770cc 2 stroke in so many jetskis and snowmobiles. Those Yamaha's just will run forever.

I figured out what the Halloween haunting was. It's the door ajar buzzer. A most un-Beetle like thing, I assure you.
Why did it turn off when I pulled the hood release? There are some things which if men knew, would drive them mad.
I was steam cleaning the door jamb and I found the switch in the lower corner, with a torn rubber boot.
I also need two plastic clips for the door threshold plate. Where do I go for those? I can get VW parts delivered to the lane in front of my home.

Geometroforum.com was very busy for years. There just aren’t many Metros left in the NorthEast. I ran Metros for about 8 years, repaired and sold many. Just moved on to Saturn L series cars about 5 years ago. I can tow them behind the motorhome and they are a very nice ride.

Door jamb switches aren't available any more AFIK. There are cheap chinese ones (ebay) that can be modified to fit.
Not sure what kind of clip the sill plate - if that's what it is - uses. Probably a edge shaped rectangular one?
Pics would help, if you want us to help ya figure it out.

Yeah, I started the thread because someone emailed me a picture I could use.
There's a door jamb switch delete coming up.
I'll take one of the threshold clips around to NAPA and Wilco.

I remember some 3-cyl Suzuki GT 380, 550 and 750 motorcycles with 2-stroke engines, not to mention the DKW cars which were quite successful in Brazil for a while.
