my front air dam... bad or good?
So..this is what we did yesterday all in one day, pass mirror delete, antenna delete, wheel skirts, front bumper air dam, and head light covers.
My question is.. do you guys think this air dam is useless? I have a lot of naysayers on my facebook saying i should pull it and replace with a belly pan

It's hard to say- the pic isn't there.
Generally, though, the airdam is more important than the belly pan.

its not useless, if you have more material, i would extend it further to the sides, wrap around hte bumper so that it smoothly directs air past the tires.
also, depending on how rough/smooth and how low hanging underbody stuff is will determine how effective it is.
my other question is how strong is it. a flat plane with support only at the top, does it fold over in the wind

everything looks good!
My only suggestions, wrap the airdam around the sides of the bumper. Also, the airdam should only extend down to the same level as the lowest part of your underbody.
Any plans on making a grill block?

it is a thinner plastic so i would imagine it does fold back a little at higher speeds

It folds a lot....believe me.
good idea with the point in the middle, but I have seen the wind peel duct tap off at 60 mph

it's creating turbulence that didn't exist before.
and air dam is pushing the air around to the edges.
as your's collapses turbulent air is rushing under and into the tire.

nose angle
It's hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like the nose angles down and back.
This is the highest drag configuration, attempting to channel air under the nose.
Better with vertical or laid back slightly as you see in NASCAR;with all air going around and over.
You'll have to be careful with your approach angle, mindful of scrubbing.

Naysayers on Facespook? I feel faint.
If you redo it, consider a diverter. It would be a horizontal plate, ideally at the minimum road clearance and as far forward as the front bumper, ideally. And with tabs in front of the tires for spats.
What's the minimum ground clearance? Overall ground clearance? Front tire sidewall height?
