Check out that Intake air temperature.

Full grill block and warm air intake are working wonderful. It's 24*F 12mph wind.

I know winter brings bad numbers but I am just more motivated to beat my high score

Zero outside airflow and high intake air temperatures have given my KIA a decent power loss. I am getting a CEL for it. I have changed my driving a bit.

Now my foot is very heavy during my pulse. All low speed driving. I'm taking the secondary roads and taking my chances with the red lights. (I have never been good at timing lights. All of them seem like timer lights.) Allways P&G EOC. A totally new route with a top speed of 50MPH. I hate red lights but I think the lower speed will help.

I have more aero to do too. Fuel-up soon. Just hit 500 miles on the tank and I still have 1 line left before E.

I've gotten those comments a bunch. Most passengers get pissed when they see me drive 5 under the speed limit, even when I stop at the same stoplight as everybody else. Anyways, congratz on the 50 MPG, that is what I am aiming for after I hit 40!

Congrats -- nice going!!

You've got me beat. I don't think I'll be seeing anything north of 50 in the 07 Civic until next spring... maybe!

Thanks yall. I'm not done with this POS yet. I still have more to do!

@MetroMPG you cant compare winter with me. My winter is probably fall for you. Your summer is my fall. And we don't have spring in MD so yeah lol.

The reason this tank is so high is because I totally changed my route and actually have learned it well.

Why no fuel log for the civic?

Anyone know whats wrong with my Alternator?

Last tank was 45MPG. I'm happy!
I ordered some 0-20 W oil and Synchromesh transmission fluid.
I ordered some cheap blazer driving lights to switch to the highbeams.
I ordered some thick wires and terminals to use with a used $45 deep cycle battery in the trunk of the car. And will use the wires to rewire the starter / ALT as well.
I added a 2' JBL house speaker wired in mono to the back seat.
4 New Dual brand speakers in the car.
75PSI Tires
I cut a 4x4 hole in the lower grill so it wont overheat.
Duct tape on all the weird body panel gaps again!!
I got a free tarp from harbor freight to keep the snow off the car.

Working on side skirts and a wiper deflector I don't have to remove to use the wipers.
I have made 4 cardboard Kammbacks and they all have seemed to increase drag from coast down testing I have done. A boat tail seems easier.

I'm also thinking about using JB weld and sticking the burner from a coffee pot on the engine block, Is that a good idea? lol

Also any ideas how to use a 6V lead acid battery for better MPG?
Maybe external powered headlights.....

I'm getting 64.1 this tank with my Insight without even trying, I coast up to stoplights with my injector kill switch, but I don't P&G or do anything else. I'm not even easy on the throttle anymore haha. It is amazing how much over EPA you are getting though.

i think the sharp sound comes from the alt belt because there is not enough tension on it
and the voltage drop on the battery is maybe because the battery is too old. but I dont think your alternator is bad

i think you need to test the capacity of your battery and compare with a new one
