Turtle New CRX Owner!

Almost a success story...

I bought it rough with 280k on the odometer

I had some rust fixed. New hatch hinges and shocks.
$30 rustoleum gloss white spray job.
New tires. New safety check.
And a ton of cleaning.

I hope to sell it to fund my new(er) car
Plus I know the kids in the area will want it to mod it out
(looking at an echo, 96+ civic, etc)

I wont be aeromodding it. (since Id like to sell it)

But Ill do a lot of Neutral coasting
and in the meantime I'll daily drive it and log the gas.

Im loving the speed though

Heres a list of why Id like to sell (eventually)

1. Wife doesnt drive manual
2. Not all rust was fixed
3. Wife doesnt want to learn manual
4. Drivers door sags a bit
5. Dont want to have argument with wife over manual driving.
6. Transmission makes slight whine

But trust me, Im keeping it as long as Im able.

Before/After pics below
(and yes, the one on the bottom were taken today)

1. So let her drive something else.
2. So fix the rest of it... the body parts aren't that expensive.
3. Too bad for her... guess she'll never know the fun of the CRX, eh?
4. Door hinge bushing - replace it with brass.
5. So don't argue - just tell her she can't (as in "doesn't know how to") drive it.
6. Drain fluid - add synchromesh. If that doesn't fix it, it's a bearing. Trannys are cheap too, especially HF trannys.

I sold mine for $250... guy was convinced that it was an Si trans, and insisted that I didn't know what I was talking about, b/c HF's "only came with 4 speed trannys".

Sure, I can use the $250... seeya.

I'm now on the lookout for a decent HF or any CRX with a decent body, but I still can't afford one, either.

I'll put the JDM backseat in it though.

Man, that backseat is like totally worthless.

I'm curious though. Is it safe? I know at the time Japan didn't have a rear seat seatbelt law (new in 2009, has reduced fatalities a lot).
