New fill : 750.7mi @ 57.78mpgUS - 1207.8km @ 4.071L/100
90-day from 54.98 to 55.5 and from +19.5217% to +20.6522%, ie Hypermiler tag

From SGII, my last 7 days have been at 61.1mpgUS=3.85L/100
As this tank was done with straight gas and I filled up with E10 my next goal is 780mi=1255km

Have fun,

Denis.

Wow. I'm really curious what FE the famous Prius will give you once you get used to it, your average with the Megane (which looked nothing special) was so much better

New fill up :
780.5mi @ 60.36mpgUS
1255.8km @ 3.897L/100
90 day mpgUS @ 56.3

I switched to Torque (an Android app) with the following 8 gauges:
  • MPG
  • Accel Deg
  • Trip MPG
  • HV SOC
  • ICE Power
  • HV Current
  • Coolant
  • ICE Rev
I don't need anything else while driving. It permits me to baby the HV battery during the first few miles to be able to use SHM as soon as possible when needed.

ICE Power is just for curiosity and seeing 5-8hp @ 50mph (depends on terrain) is cool

It also permits to save trips and see the logs on a map Definitely I have to work on my 70-90km/h routine. My problem is SHM doesn't work well on faux plats. I'm trying to keep a more steady 50mph on faux plats.

Yesterday was 24°C = 75°F : I know I will love summer. Forecast is 13°C = 55°F for next 10 days

I'm far from Mégane's kilo tank... but working on it. I'm filling up only 50L = 13.2gal instead of 60L = 15.85gal ie I have to reach 3,1L/100 = 75.7mpgUS

Have fun,

Denis.

New fill up :
  • 936 mi = 1506.35 km
  • 65.78 mpg (US) = 78.99 mpg (Imp) = 3.58 L/100 km

I gonna have my kilo-tank

Denis.

I've made a bunch of lifetime-average-improving tanks lately (the 48-hour run included, nice yummy hills, many of them!), since the winter really ended. Now we'll see a few worse, I'm preparing for a long, 2-up trip on flat, boring highways this weekend.

A little message to give a little motivation to you all

Another fill up:
  • metric: 1609.3 km - 54.5 L - 1.412€/L - 3.39 L/100 km
  • US: 1000.2 mi 14.4 gal - 6.777$/gal - 69.46 mpg

My 3 months average goes from EPA+34.1% to 43.3%

The tank of the non-US Prius can be overfilled vs the US version. The method is to lift the rear left wheel to slowly complete the tank with a jerrycan. This tank was run with an additional 5L jerrycan. I filled up the current tank with a 10L jerrycan, so the goal is 1800km ~ 1111.1mi

Note: I got out of fuel @ 1607.1km = 998.8mi and drove 2.2km = 1.4mi with around 10% of HV battery.

I'm seeing the Toyota team passing Chevy, VW & Honda teams soon

Have fun,

Denis.

If I remember, some months ago Team Honda was behind Team VW AUDI Group - but no longer!

Team Honda is ahead at the moment, 49.76 vs. 49.45 mpg. We're also ahead in % over EPA, and by a wider margin.

Go Team Honda! Just bragging of course. Ya gotta do it when you can!

Maybe I'll fill up tomorrow and change that around a bit. Ha, ha! Just kidding. I only have 400 miles on it so far. Not even down to half a tank yet.

I just adjusted my EPA to the EPA rating for my models year and transmission. My old EPA was 44 % over now its 57 % over, with the corrected values from the linked EPA ratings website.
Others may have gains (or losses) by correcting their EPA ratings.
here's the link
Fuel Economy

I quit team diesel due to low membership and perhaps the wrong place for my car and joined team VW Audi.
my EPA says 36 % on that list but reads 57 % in my garage.
Perhaps it updates every 24 hours and has not had time to register yet..
even so Team VW Audi gains position on Honda with my membership !
