Not that I advocate for hydrogen, but wouldn't it be more efficient if used in a fuel cell?
Hydrogen is part of the fracking / methane controversy.... extreme greenhouse gas.

I'm content to wait and see. I don't even know if it has a power take-off or it's purely jet thrust.

Given the lack of seals and valve train, it might compete very well.

hydrogen-II

1) According to Emission Analytics, hydrogen fuel-cell cars are averaging 63.2-mpg-e.
2) From the 817 automobiles they've tested, ICE vehicles are demonstrating an average 25.6-mpg.
3) There's nothing the new engine could demonstrate in efficiency which could meaningfully close that gap.
4) Perhaps America Petroleum Institute unicorns in a desperate rear guard action to forestall the inevitable transition to electrified transportation. The Second law of thermodynamics is not their friend.

Maybe it needs a Smart Carb?

The claim is 25-30% fuel savings and 8-14% more power. If nothing else it's interesting for the metering rod that replaces a needle jet. Because it uses lee-side low pressure to draw fuel, it automagically compensates for altitude. And the fuel mixture ratio is adjustable on the fly.

Their 38mm model sounds like a match for my 1600cc boxer motor.

I thought you might like it. The metering is via the backside of a D-shaped profile that draws in fuel into the airstream. And it has a slide valve instead of a butterfly, what does that do to pumping loses?

It reminds me of the notorious Fish carburetor.
Quote:
History
From 1947 to 1959 the Fish Carburetor Company of Daytona Beach, Florida manufactured over 125,000 high-mileage carburetors. The Fish carburetor averaged 20 percent better gas mileage and 30% more horsepower.

The Fish Carburetor was originally invented by John Robert Fish in America in the early Thirties. The carb works on pressure differential – not air speed, which means that it is almost instantly self adjusting & self compensating so any change in weather or altitude requires no adjustments or modifications as with conventional carbs. Hence all round suitability for cars, boats, aircraft, mountain or pressure charging use.

Instead of the usual one main fuel discharge point within the carburetor, the “Fish” has from SIX to TEN leading to vastly superior atomization and therefore much improved vaporization...
Fish Carburetors – Ross Carburetors

Similar performance claimed, and altitude compensation. Six to ten discharge point is one difference.

They call it smart but it isn't an Internet of Things play.

I thought you meant that the engine I shared in #1 belonged in the unicorn corral!

Honestly, I wondered if I should have put it there after I posted.

What?! Google didn't understand the reference!

Calm down, freebeard, DuckDuckGo didn't, either.

aerohead Thanked the comment. He must know something.

The mods can move the thread for you. I don't think it's a ghetto (like The Lounge); after all "Is it a myth or is it real?"

I like the concept; but then I've liked the Brayton Cycle. Is it a seal-less Wankel? Is it pulsed jet? Is it something between a turbine and a wheel-and-rod? The optional afterburner is a bonus that the flamethrower exhaust crowd would envy.

A seal-less Wankel would be especially confusing since Wankels were notorious for seal issues.
