Why thank you.

The handling difference is staggering, the car is much happier to "rotate" on it's center axis rather than lean around the corner. It's a hoot. 38mpg tank, but the first half of the tank was while toying on back roads, so discounting that 1st half. 2nd half much more conservative, and EOCing where possible. The missfire returned for a day, but dissipated today. If this motor bit the dust, I've been thinking about locating and swapping the VX or HX motors from the later Civics. Still radically efficient, with the reliability of fuel injection (my problems seem to root back to the carb, as the solutions have been in fuel). Also, the massive bump in horse power is more than welcome!

I drive my truck on the weekends to shows, I do miss having a good bit of grunt every now and then. However, the CST10 can drink more gas in a day than this little guy does in a week!

I hate... Bodywork.... But by saturday the little toy car will be white, and much more comfortable in the heat.

However, in a lapse of attention when forgetting to downshift, I managed to drive up a curb in a turn. Got distracted by the sudden surprise of no power, and forgot to complete the turn... Stupidest mistake I've ever made! Hell, I was even going slow.

However, in return for hauling a motor, I acquired a set of VX 13" wheels. Keeping it light weight Basically the wheels, along with a set of DX rear springs (stiffer than the HF, to further my suspension work), and rear speaker mounts for the cost of gas. Which, after running around Houston all day, was about $40 in the CST10 :P More gas in a day than the CRX uses in a week and a half! But, I enjoyed the trip in it again, and even had a nice cruise in traffic with a '72 C10

Honestly I'm not a big fan of the style, but I'll see after a bit of paint how it looks. However, I'm going to hunt down another HF wheel as time allows.

I pranged one of my alloys like this just 2 weeks after my birthday, when I was allowed to refurb them. And then spent ages trying to find a match.

"Oh gosh" I said.

Luckily someone else pranged their whole car and I got the only unbent wheel.

Refurbing these would've cost way more than the $40 I spent in gas that day.

I know the VX was great on gas, but the VX wheels don't look like they have great aero, at least compared to the Civic Hybrid "cheese grater" and Insight wheels.

Indeed, the HF wheels are more aero, but I've gotta use what I have. However, they are ridiculously light. For once, the tire weighs way more than the rim itself.

I used Rustoleum gloss white. But, more of never-painted-a-car-before skills and figuring out a setup is the reason why it's not glossy at the moment. Had a meh-gun, but the thinner I made the paint the better the finish was each time. Once the paint hardens I'll be able to work it smooth. Rustoleum is very tough, and lasts a good long time. About $150 spent, I think. Budget went to hell at the last minute because I had to buy a new gun since the one my friend had was giving us trouble. The drive home was much more comfortable though, I'm quite happy about the cooler inside temps.

Plexi DIY wheel covers! I like the look of those wheels (have similar set of 14's for my Suzukiclone fleet) but not the aero.

Also, you wouldn't happen to know where a person could pick up some vx rims would you? I just got 2 from a parts yard and am having trouble locating 2 more to complete the set. Any ideas?

crxs are great! i do love the tall gearing, and handling helps with EOC a lot when you can fly around turns without the brakes. I should do the minivan rear sway bar thing! except im fairly sure i have wishbone style rear suspension. I had a misfire issue like yours, came and went, and for SOME reason, after a full tune up, retarding the timing as far as it would go cured it, and seemed to have no other symptoms. Have to do more research on that later. i also find that i get a lot of short fills on this car, the pumps always stop early and it never seems quite full. do you have any issue with that?
