We are still loving the Leaf! It is so calming to drive. Even more so as gas prices climb. I think OPEC et al are trying to make a bit more profit before they get ****ed by the next-gen ev's.
One strange thing I noticed: the front tires have already been changed for a new set at 15,000 miles.
TIL: the Leaf was the 2nd most efficient EV for years. I'll leave it to y'all to guess the first. But I think the new Bolt recently took the crown at a 3.9 mi/kWh rating.
There were about 500 Bolts sold in December.

My wife got her average up to 4.2 mi/kWh = 142 mpge. This is probably 70% city, 30% highway, no hypermiling.

I love these weekends when my gas burner never leaves the garage.

We are apparently going to see the new Leaf in September, and they will go on sale at the end of this year. And, Nissan is offering 3 months free lease extension.
Nissan Leaf leases can extend until all-new 2018 electric car late this year: updated

Interesting. They pitch it as retaining the existing user base. It also minimizes the new sales being cannibalized by the glut of off-lease examples.
