What in that pic makes you think it'll different from what we've been seeing?

It is just a rough guess - the shape of the headlight doesn't look like the units on the camouflaged cars. But I could be wrong - different angles, and the limited view of this teaser image.
The "floating" (LED?) bar just doesn't seem to fit the cars we have seen.
I remember the very first teaser image we saw of the Leaf - it was a close up of the panel at the base of the windshield, with the elongated ridges featured. That turned out to be a poor predictor of what the Leaf actually looked like.

I don't think Nissan would go to the trouble & expense of making styling modifications to a current Leaf platform mule just to throw speculators off the scent.

A random blob of clay is more aesthetically pleasing than the current Leaf, and probably more aerodynamically efficient. I don't much care what the new Leaf ends up looking like as long as form follows function, and the function is adequate.
BTW- I plan to purchase a gen I Leaf once the price freefall nears the bottom.

Used Leaf prices are up about $1000-2000 over the past couple months. I guess gas prices are scaring people. Kind of surprising with next-gen ev's on the way, though.

Gas prices, or just spring car shopping fever? Maybe a combination of both.
I regularly watch Mirage & Micra prices, and I noticed they've gone up as well in the same time frame.

Seriously, how much further can current Leaf prices plummet? I saw a 2015 Leaf on CL for $9,000. In 2 years the car went from ~$30k to $9k, or $21k total depreciation.
I've seen 2014 models for $7k. Do you think by waiting 1 more year, the 2014 model could be down to $5k? I'm trying to time my entry into the EV market so that I get in near the bottom. Once the $7,500 tax credit limits are reached, used EV prices will shoot back up a fair amount.

Look at the depth of that side skirt!
Now we know how they increased the range!
