Smile Just for fun: What were your parents' first cars?

My mom's first car was a big honkin' 1974 Ford LTD, 4-door with a large V8. I can only imagine the FE of that thing.
My dad's first car was a rather boring 1969 Plymouth Valiant, 4 door with a straight six.

What were your parents' first cars?

My dads was a Ford Pinto, my mom had a Subaru GL 2WD coupe. Both of em have always been big on 4 bangers. Only recently has my dad discovered the joys of a V6(Camry) and V8(BMW). But as I was growing up, everything we had was a 4 popper.

50's

My folks were teenagers in the 50's, so if I remember right...

Dad had a 1940 Ford Coupe as his first car (good drag racing car)
Mom had an early 60's Corvair

I'll have to ask what was officially the first...

When I was a twerp (WWII) Dad had a Model A with a rust hole in the side so big a cat staked it out and slept there at night. His first car was a T. That rust hole has been tracking me all these years. I think of all my cars as rust holes; can't help it anymore.

Question I'llhave to call

But for now
Relying on memory alone
Moms first car was actually an International Harvester 1640 farm tractor circa 1948. Yes she grew up on farm. My granddad let her drive the tractor to & from school so she could go straight to work when she got home. I think also she had stuff to do before school.
Dads first car was a Deuce-&-a-half, He had no car before he joined the Army, they gave him a truck to drive, only while on duty though.
He saved his money and when he got out, bought a Brand new 1958 Ford, I don't remember which model.
Well memory's workin OK today.
