I got that, but still haven't seen the appliances in a 300VDC flavor although 240vac does peak at 360 ish. My pack is 192, so it's odd ball for 120 and undervolted for 220/240
So @ 120 I need a PWM chopper and a filter then H Bridge switching to make it A/C, at 220 you need the H Bridge and a large current transformer. Havent mentioned the german obsession with 800/400v.

The only stuff I remember seeing in the 330 volt range were some industrial appliances.

Great news, everyone!
Ford backs off on plan to cut AM radio from vehicles amid outcry.
Quote:
"After speaking with policy leaders about the importance of AM broadcast radio as a part of the emergency alert system, we've decided to include it on all 2024 [Ford] & [Lincoln] vehicles," wrote CEO Jim Farley on Twitter

Automotive regulations consider 50V or higher as “high” voltage. That means orange cables, a grounding circuit in the cable, and special training for service techs. That all costs money

AFAIK the radios are outsourced anyway. But even in my country where the FM band is being extended to accomodate the migration of some radio stations from the AM dial to the FM, most of the radios I see with an extended FM dial still have the AM.

That's what makes 48v the sweet spot. Safe enough for regular dopes to work with.

I'd still take this claim with a grain of salt, yet the regulatory aspect may be a good reason for 48-volt hybrid systems to eventually have a more relevant role in short to middle term. Valeo was even developing a 48-volt full-hybrid setup...

Someone regulatory decided that the induced currents accross your heart weren't necessarily instantaneous fatal at 48 volts. Was before current medical knowledge discovered otherwise.
Electronic theory says we can have a motor produce hp using 1 1/2 volts. Practice says the current will be horrendous and it wont spin up very fast due to back emf.
