Just another update. I have found out that you do not have to enter the park at the main entrance if you happen to pass it by. The very next road south of the park entrance takes you directly to the pavilion without going through the rental cabin area. You would think after visiting this place a hundred times, I would have known that by now

Also, a reporter from Kent, Ohio is interested in coming to the meet to interview some of us and take a ride-along. This is for a radio show and if you are willing to participate, it's entirely up to you. Their website is here...........
The Environment Report

I have been scanning all the local weather stations and so far there is a slight chance of rain, but it's too early in the week to determine that. Like I stated before, rain or shine, the meet will go on and the pavilion is actually pretty huge and nobody will get their hair wet

I have started my packing for the trip already, can't wait anymore getting excited. I have the route I want to take programmed in GPS. Making my list and checking it twice. I am hoping to arrive about 8:30-9 Friday night at the campgrounds, have to wait for son to get out of school. (Might have him taken out a little early though, don't like setting up in the dark)

It is 217 miles one way, which the GPS puts me at 4hrs. 11min. Which will probably take me closer to 5. I am avoiding the toll road which would save some time but not to friendly for a slow travelling Metro. (My wife said I drive like a Grandpa, so I must be doing something right) I am hoping to have my MpGuino built by then, waiting on 2 parts the rest is soldered and ready to go. Crossing Fingers, and wrote Santa for a little help too.

What day is everyone else pulling in? I will be there all weekend camping, fishing, snoring in my chair. Will be great to just sit back and relax (pretend I am retired)

P.S. JM do you need anything else that you can think of dishes, cups, silverware, napkins, anything. Let us know so we can pitch in on this. That is alot for one person to buy for all of this.

Any idea's let me know. I really want to leave with XFI Saturday morning but I'm not sure yet.....That should put us out there early afternoon...Depending upon how slow the slowest truck out there is

I have most of my gear rounded up and will start packing my bags tomorrow night and load the bike up Thursday after work. I plan on leaving at 10am Friday, it is a 6 hour trip but I figure 10 hours getting there so I can stop and look at anything interesting on the way. Should put me at the campground at 8pm or so Fri night. I plan on leaving around 4pm or so Sunday and heading back home. I don't have to be at work till 12 the next day so getting home late is no biggie if something interesting comes up and I stay later.

As soon as it quits raining here I am going to go yank all the parts everyone has asked for and see how much extra room I have to bring some random extra parts.

We will need coolers! I only have one large cooler large enough to keep the burgers, dogs, macaroni salad, and potato salad cold. I have not even added in the refreshments yet, but I figure when we all meet up Sunday morning and get setup, everything should be covered. If you have an extra cooler, bring it so we can keep stuff cold. I plan on being there Sunday morning around 8:00 AM to get rolling.

If someone could grab a large bag of charcoal, that would help.

I am guessing around 30 people max will be present and this includes people bringing family and friends. No matter the turnout, it shall be a great time. There is so much to do in that general area right at the pavilion area alone. Also the Lake Village campground has some activities to do and the city of Andover is pretty cool. There is also a Spillway a short drive from there in Linesville, PA, so if you want to take your kids over there to feed the fish I will guarantee memories will be made there for you and your family, so look it up if you come a day early and want to check that out.

Feel free to bring outdoor games like horseshoes or a frisbee or something. Maybe we can even sharpen up some lawn darts and play blind folded
