I might have a Honda Fit to mod soon.
Was considering a Volt, but simplicity, lower purchase price and low maintenance costs were what sold me.

HA!
To clarify... when I talk about declining "traffic", that's page views from all sources - members & non-members alike.
Non-posting non-members used to be a significantly larger portion (majority?) of our traffic. Member activity (posting) has declined too, but not as fast as non-member pageviews.

Actually, I think this is another reason for this forum's decline: there are SO MANY more efficient vehicles to choose from that didn't exist 10 years ago. Some previously hardcore ICE-modding members have moved on to efficient EV's & PHEV's and don't feel the need to mod them for even greater efficiency.
EG: Neil Blanchard, Mike Kamm come to mind.
Also, all those EV's & PHEV's have their own dedicated owners groups/forums.

EVTV have declared victory in the EV conversion space and moved on to home power.
Arcimoto have preempted all my tadpole desires.

I still can't see myself as having an EV as an only car. I like my road trips too much, and I don't feel the infrastructure is there yet. Which is not to say that I don't think it will be.

When I had a job I tried to start threads I thought would interest others to help keep the forums active and to pass time at work, but I quit my job, so I have other concerns now.
I found a job immediately, but I may never start, so I have been trying to figure out what to do with my life.

Don't expect to move to Oregon and get a job pumping gas.

What does that mean?
I figured the availability of cheap, used OEM electrics would be the death of of DIY (non-specialty) conversions.
I wonder what has happened to traffic at diyelectriccar.com
