One stupid less in the world.
Well, died for nothing...
Poor guy...
What stupidity do to people...
The funny thing is that he was a pilot, and I bet many planes he flight could reach much higher altitudes than this stupid small rocket.

It is ironic that he denied the science behind the fact the earth is basically a sphere (more accurately an oblate spheroid, that is slightly more pear shaped - because of all the ice on Antarctica) - and yet he essentially used science to build the rocket.

I should start a moviment of B Side Flat Earth World, and get money from stupid people.
I could start to say that ther is another side on Earth that is also plane flat, with oceans, florests and humans, like the B side of a LP, as the gravity would pull people to the ground in both ways of the "disc" against the ground. This B side that is free of war, almost without polution, without racism, with no prejudice, where humanity advanced moraly and technologically, and the ones who follow me and send me money will be invited to live there.
Follow me to the B-Side Earth paradise...

Well that was sad. There's no reason to test the lifting capability with a human inside. Why not use ballast?
Parachute failures were the #1 failure I had with my model rocketry. Most of mine were lost due to detachment, failure to deploy, or not fully deploying.
If I were crazy enough to go up in a model rocket, I'd at least have a reserve chute and rocket escape hatch.

According the video he intented to reach 69 mils high to see Earth's flatness (where it would be have a visible arc for any ane non idiot person). But his rocket didn't even reachs 1 mile, and I supose he knew it could not reach even 10 miles.
So why he risked hinself for a rocket he knew it was unable to reach anything decent???
Even if he could had a rocket to reach 69 miles high, and even he could survie return, and even if he had a video or film (chemical film) of the return, showing the Earth round and not flat as he imagined, and even if he recognize he was wrong and try to open the eyes of flatearther to truth, even so... Flatearthers would said the government bought hin or blackmailed hin or druged hin... They would never accept proofs, even photos,m videos, film, whatever.
It's simple, all that already exist, many films, since the V-2 rockerts experiments post WWII, It all exist in abundance, pluc science facts in equations. But they ignored. You can't argue with inane people, it's a lost of time.

Why is the earth flat and everything else a sphere?

So sad for his family and friends (and him!). I imagine he had difficulty trusting any vehicle that he did not build, thinking Globalists would fake what he saw through a window somehow. His was a science with paranoid lenses on. I wonder if I could find sabotage conspiracy theories already starting on reddit and other worse dens of such paranoia.

I was reading an article about this last night that said the flat earth stuff was just PR to fund the rockets.
https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article...ath-flat-earth
Quote:
In 2018, Hughes told the AP he wanted to do the launch because he believed the Earth was flat. "Do I believe the Earth is shaped like a Frisbee? I believe it is,” he said. “Do I know for sure? No. That’s why I want to go up in space.”
On Saturday, a public relations representative disputed Hughes' flat Earth beliefs, telling BuzzFeed News that the argument had helped him raise money but that he didn't actually believe it.
"We used flat Earth as a PR stunt. Period," Darren Shuster told BuzzFeed News. "He was a true daredevil decades before the latest round of rocket missions. Flat Earth allowed us to get so much publicity that we kept going! I know he didn’t believe in flat Earth and it was a shtick."

I wouldn't be surprised if he had family and/or friends PLEADING with him not to fly in that sardine can deathtrap before he left for the launch site. The intense level of delusion and ego he must have had is scary. Like an addict. I am glad the video does not seem to show impact. That's too much. We all can imagine. Even crackpots deserve a little dignity in death.
