Fukushima Update: The Nuclear Disaster That Won't Go Away | Care2 Causes

Seafood Industry Threatened

Toward the end of last year, U.S. scientists and wildlife specialists officially became worried about Fukushima’s impact on the fishing industry. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s all one big ocean. If a massive amount of contamination is dumped into the ocean on one side of the world, rest assured it will eventually make it’s way to the other. We saw this with physical rubble from the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, and the same currents are bringing the invisible contaminants as well. Fish, especially salmon, must migrate through the radioactive plumes coming off Fukushima before being harvested on North American coasts. Some believe this represents an eventual health crisis, and that it’s no longer safe to eat fish from the Pacific Ocean

Scaremongering nonsense. We have examples of Nuclear "disasters" the biggest is obviously Chernobyl :

From Here.

Radiation exists in the environment naturally. Radon Gas for example seeps up into people's houses in some parts of the UK and elsewhere. People living in those houses would be far more likely to die from crossing the road than due to radiation poisoning.

In fact you will get more radiation poisoning from Bananas :

Americans eating fish from the Pacific are more likely to die from overeating and obesity than radiation from the fish. And Nuclear power is the safest power we have available, and reduces GHGs if thats your bag.

Why not?

Scotland is planning on 100% renewable by 2020 or so. Germany is well ahead of schedule. Your claim of new coal plants there is not credible.

Strange, then, that the media is full of reports like this: Merkel Facing Power Dilemma as Coal Plants Open: Energy Markets - Bloomberg Deny all you want, but it's pretty hard to hide a coal plant.

Nobody died from the Fukushima nuclear accident.

Nobody.

Zero.

None.

An integer less than one.

This number -> 0.

No more than that.
