Hi Mark,

I replied to your email address.

Everyone,

I have filled the order for the IGBT's a few hours after I posted the first message. I actually received the order today!! If enough people are interested, I have another contact with another case of the same modules. Brand New, just as these ones I just are. They will be a little bit more then the $20 of the first order.

PM or Email me if your interested!

-Adam

Couldn't resist sharing my little milestone with you of the controller board connected to an igbt today. Still some work left to do though..
http://www.etlaare.demon.nl/throttle2.wmv

And for what it is worth I would like to share some funny experience with using a USB-RS232 converter with a laptop running windows to connect it to the RTD-Explorer. I had to do that as the new laptop had no serial port anymore.

The first time I connected it, it worked fine, the driver used COM4 which information can be retrieved in the device manager. Later however it did not connect properly anymore. It took me a while to figure out that when my cellphone is nearby, the laptop establishes a bluetooth connection who's drivers claim COM4, COM5, COM6 and COM7.
Hence, the RTD-Explorer should suddenly connect through COM8 ....

Just in case you run into connection problems one day... just didge your bluetooth cellphone (preferably send it to me ....)

Ed

Anything is possible, more or less. It's actually based on Fran's ideas though (not mine). By the way, I need to mail your controller back. I have been using it for tests though! I swear I haven't been wasting time. hehe.

What are the characteristics of a NiMH battery? Are they like 12v batteries, or smaller voltages like 3 or 4v?

I ordered the parts for one little battery monitor for Lithium cells. I have my little voltage regulator in the garage (0-3amp, 0-30v) that I'll simulate the cell sagging and charging. ya!

I figured that if I had $20,000, and I could aeromod a car, that I could probably get 200watt*hr/mi, and about 310 miles of range.

I checked my pockets for $20.000 Paul... sorry ... yet I wondered how much the price would drop if we did a bulk order for all members of this group for single lifepo4 cells with a capacity of lets say 200Ah... or maybe we need replacement stations all over the world (from now on everybody should make sure their powerpacks can be replaced in an automated way from underneath the car I think) ...nah... I'll keep on dreaming.. Still very curious to see your monitor in action. Happy soldering.

Well, To let everybody know there is a new version on RTD Explorer on the site now. If you run the versions you all have an update should pop up and it will update to the latest version. Version 0.3.1.45. We have fixed the updater in this version and have upgraded it to a better system.

Second, I have created a new thread to stop hijacking pauls thread. This thread will cover feature requests and updates. Please check it out here :http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...are-12038.html

There is some very important things in it that you should see.

See you guys on the other thread!!

-Adam
