Thanks for the explanation!

It's always just to emulate the crankshaft sensor?
I saw the X5 conversion on youtube, and he was trying to emulate crankshaft and camshaft sensor, why does he needs that, do you know this?

Thanks

Some sensors are more important than others. The crankshaft sensor tell the ecu the engine is running so is the most important. Others such as oxygen sensor etc are just used for emission control and can be ignored.

Possible name for the new controller : "Re-moc 1200" Well? What ya think?

How about "Home made 1200 beefy controller", plain and simple

Oh man! I can't wait for a video! yahoo!!! That sounds like a good name. Alternatively, it could be called the Caoranach...

As a side note, if you do a naming contest for the controller, I vote for the "the little naked kid riding the tiny boat in the Secret of Roan Inish". My next suggestion is the "Magnificent, onerous, nasty, kool, evil, yodelling, tremendous, usurping radical dynamo!!"

But that's pretty long, so you may want to just go with the M.O.N.K.E.Y.T.U.R.D. for short. haha.

Sounds nice to my Polish ears, "moc" means "power" in our language

Hi Guys

My car is now legal and operational
I have been driving it to work and to show off since I got it legal last Thursday

Unfortunately I am still using a borrowed Soliton - but my new power board arrived today
So I will be asking all sorts of dumb questions until i get it back together,

I would like a couple more amps - the Soliton is set to 600 amps and I cant quite spin the back tires - 700 amps would be nice

Duncan - the only thing wrong with your car is the steering wheel is on the wrong side

(Nice job!)
