Hi, thanks to all.

Okay, I thought so, regarding the EMC. But who cares

Has anyone the original altium files for the 2C version?

Greg; you worried me as big radio fan; is your controller's enclosure made from metal or plastics? I remember Jeff (Tesseract) saying that first thing to reduce EMC emission is to close power components in shielded box without any larger openings.

The end panels of my controller are plastic where the bus bars stick out, rest of the housing is metal.

Would it be possible to mode the code (here i go again!) to use the htfs 800-p lem current sensor? This sensor works on 1.125*Ip/Ipn as opposed to 0.625*Ip/Ipn from the hass 300s and can measure upto 1200A.

Hey!

The simplest way would be to use a voltage divider ( 2 resistors ), so you don't have to change the code. Anyway it would be better to change the code, but if that isn't possible, you can go that way.

Sure! If you have the original code, I can change it. I might have the original, but I have no idea where it is. It would only be like 1 line of code different.

Happy St.Patrick's day everyone Instead of spending my day in the rain watching the local parade I decided to start in on building the new controller for the land yacht. Control board is done and tested and have hooked up the htfs 800-p lem current sensor. Need a name for this new build. Thinking of something like the azure-revolt as it will have some azure dynamics bits and open revolt brain

Hey!

Sounds great so far, I want to see the performance of your E39 with this big controller.
Which FETs/IGBTs are you going to use? And do you want to cool it with water, or just air cooling?

I've also sent you a PM, but I think you haven't read it so far. I was asking about your emulation of the crankshaft sensor, I've never seen someone doing that, so I don't know why you do that? I only see everybody to throw the original motor ECU away, because it's not needed, even for A/C and so on?

Thanks

I'll be using 3 or 4 CM600du-12f 600v 600a igbt modules and liquid cooling. The reason for retaining the ecu is that its an integral part of the can network in the car. With no ecu the dash doesnt work etc.
