This is not what he is doing. Look at the picture.

I don't know why I included the drawing or did the plugs. I am reverent of the idea behind the spark plug and to Mr. Tesla. And so I figured it might pay for a replacement set of plugs.

Yes, yes it is.
Oilpan4:
I remember that style plug Champion plugs were what all they would talk about Also they were quite inexpensive.

I have found the pictures you all

How big is that chunk? Did you weigh it? If it is steel then it would weigh 8.6 grams per CC.
It does not look that big.

Also the washer that goes with the plug looks like it can be stacked, so if you have a bunch of them those seem ideal to lift the plug to controllably and reversably enlarge the volume.

Now those photos have taken away one of my worries.
The thread is the medium that cools the plug, but in the area where you cut it the core does not touch the metal. So I guess it won't get too much thermal stress there.

It should be stated with good reason and understanding a car manual that suggests 91+ does not require 91+.

Most cars that require premium (91+ octane) do so for a reason, such as mentioned higher compression. The higher compression can not be sworted with this mod because there are added components like super or turbo chargers. Cars that suggest 91+ octane do not require 91+ so 87 octane can be used.

With a little web search I see that the smart for two suggests it's required for longevity and an increase of 3mpg. Prove it before creating potential engine damage, also as suggested try a more common mod like a spacer first.

I don't think I've ever seen threads that long on a plug. So in your case I retract the minimal thread/reduce torque statement. But I'll let the rest of my concerns stand.

It sort-of spoils the joke; but if BikerModder's use of the QUOTE facility were cromulent, then everything after 'Originally Posted by Carbon' would be identical.
