My engine at least takes air outside of engine bay (diy ram air, turbo diesel), can't see how it could go against wind to ahead of car to be able to enter to filter. Might not work with everyone, also there might be bit different kind of rockwools too, ones I have here I can lift from other end as it is quite stiff stuff.

I'm using something like a blanket that is for extinguishing fire to keep my engine warm. It's made of glass fibers and it won't melt or burn even when touching exchaust.

Went to a local get together with my car club... someone took a picture of it. When you're parked near BMW 2002's, diesel Mk1 Rabbits/Caddys and a mint Audi Sport Quattro I'd call that an accomplishment.
(Of course I got kicked out of the main parking lot... apparently they didn't see "TATRA" written on the hood )
I get to use my dad's car this week so it's time to pull off my belly pan and add an air dam. The pan's C-channel structure had bent and snapped at a screw hole and was hanging down. It's too much trouble.
Also, oil change!

Looks like the car had some action, an alien fusion beam has vaporized a hole in the door. A piece of duct tape would cover this defect and disallow dust from entering the cockpit and crew compartment.

Well, I also have to do horse chores three times a day for eight days straight, so it all evens out.
Had duct tape over the laser hole but it ended up being more trouble than it was worth. Besides I have bigger problems than dust infiltration... mainly tie rod ends, suspension bushings, a wheel bearing and rotting frame rails.

It wouldn't be so bad if the the one wasn't a complete douche, trying to steal others' food. And they all hate the new hay so every day they spread it around and **** on it. Then I have to clean it up (And not feed so much out the next time).
