I didn't mean it wouldn't make sense from a technical standpoint, but come on, we're so used to see that transverse leaf-spring layout in earlier full-size Fords that anything else looks sorta out of place...

Please call that a styling kit. It looks as useful as paint imitating woven Carbon fiber.
It is such a shame that Ford never went to using two mounting points on those transverse front leaf springs, which gives an anti-roll function.

Done. I think it's a parody, something like this:
Allegedly an actual Smart car. I like the Willys traverse spring/A-arm front suspension from the 1950s.

The formidable AC Cobra had A-arm + transverse leaf, too, but with the spring on top, still with the single mounting point, making it two quarter-elliptics in effect. All those steel springs used as locating members suffered from using the same multi-leaf design. In composites, it is easy to create a short, wide quarter-elliptic spring right where you want a hinge point, and continue out with a more rigid arm that needs no other bracing fore and aft.

Two mounting points (#1103) or a single hinge (1105)?

The EMPI Camber Compensator was the opposite of an anti-roll bar, but it helped by reducing oversteer. I never heard of an aftermarket anti-roll bar for the front of a bug, which might have been better.

In the 1980s I bought front and rear anti-roll bars from a manufacturer in Beaverton, OR. I cannot at this time remember the company name.
But the front bar shipped with OEM bushings that were undersize internally and I didn't know how to drill or ream a rubber bushing so it was never installed. The 1 1/8th inch rear bar (with gas pressurized shocks and big and little tires) gave neutral handling so I never installed the front.
That was on a 1961 Type II panel van (the obligatory Dove Blue).

Aftermarket front sway bars for Beetles were not unheard of, but they're quite unusual and expensive. But anyway, maybe converting to double A-arm would be tempting, and there are already some kits for it.
