Of course. What I meant is the cabin of a Sir Vival could eventually be bolted to a tiller-tractor like that. Maybe that could be a loophole to use a Diesel engine in a light-duty motor vehicle in my country. And in case of crash, whichever subassembly is more damaged, could be easily replaced while the other might still be saved.

Was out testing a revised design on my extending segmented boattail.
At this point, I just had the rear half installed.
Guy pulls up as I'm extending it with a puzzled look on his face.
" Is that a parachute ? "
" I hope not, I say as I laugh.

Later, I got to his vantage point and could see how he might think it was a parachute extending .
Lol

The so-called "rounded square" shape of the 3rd-gen Brazilian Fiat Fiorino is quite odd, yet it's quite common here.

I heard that the movie Free Jack put half a million into prop cars, so I went to IMDB [www.imcdb.org/m104299.html] to see what they got for that money...

Random Hydrodynamic Oddity of the Day

When one thinks of semisubmersible cargo craft, drug smugglers tend to be top of mind, but in the 19th Century it was coal and iron ore.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whaleback

Built to withstand storms on the Great Lakes, they traversed the Atlantic and rounded Cape Horn. What torpedoed them (try the veal, I'm here all week) was the Depression of 1893.

That is a really nice find, like a huge Eskimo kayak.

North Korea has a bunch of pre-invasion strike craft for espionage that are hard to detect - semisubmersible. They have also taken to fitting torpedoes to them.

I also think of the modern closed life boat.

There were the Russian Cazar's round ships with lenticular hulls...

Russian monitor Novgorod - Wikipedia
Novgorod ( Russian: Новгород) was a monitor built for the Imperial Russian Navy in the 1870s. She was one of the most unusual warships ever constructed, and still survives in popular naval myth as one of the worst warships ever built.

Russia's Circular Battleship Was One Strange Warship (And a Joke)
27 Jun 2021If the battle didn't come to the round monitor, the round monitor was unlikely to make it in time for a battle. However, Czar Alexander II apparently still liked the design enough that when Popov proposed a round Imperial yacht the Emperor agreed! Called the "Livadia," it was assembled in England and transported to Sevastopol for a sea trial.
..but carry it forward and you get the Sea Orbiter

Technically a small-waterline mono-hull.

I had no clue that a Triumph Spitfire Mk.III was so beautiful, until I spotted this one while coming back home from a walk with the dog.
