I thought the changes were pretty obvious ...
Air curtains, exhaust air from the front wheels, deflectors behind the front wheels (under the car), some extensions on the back ...

This is the random unaerodynamic cars and trucks thread, and these changes on the Chiron are neither random nor unaerodynamic
But then the Chiron accelerates slower than a Tesla Model S (with Jay Leno driving it) so I bet they are still unaerodynamic ?

S'okay. It's a nice car. I like the exhausts stacked in the difusser.

Here's What It Would Take to Do 300 MPH In a Bugatti Veyron
https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-car...ph-horsepower/
Quote:
A standard, non-Super Sport Veyron has a drag coefficient of .36 Cd, the same as a Cadillac Escalade. That's why it needs 1000 horsepower to exceed 250 mph.

Chiron: The Inside Story of Bugatti's 1500 HP, 261 MPH Supercar
https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-car...-chiron-story/
Quote:
The car's drag coefficient is 0.38 in EB (standard) mode, 0.40 in Handling, 0.35 in Top Speed and 0.59 when the air brake is active.

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport: A Hypercar With Creature Comforts
https://www.barrons.com/articles/the...ts-01623258186
Quote:
The Chiron’s tail was also modestly extended about eight inches to be more aerodynamic and provide a more slippery drag coefficient at very high speeds.
|
Those extra 8-inches probably will not make up for all the air cooling requirements of the internal combustion engine.
If anyone finds a Cd for this car please post it.
EDIT:
I found the below on a site that has pop-up issues and possible spam issues so no link.
Quote:
the tuatara also has a more slippery shape, with a smaller frontal area than the chiron (1.672m2 vs 2.072m2 ) and a lower drag coefficient (0.279 vs 0.319 ).
|
If the new Chiron does has a Cd of .32, that puts it in Porsche 911 territory.
For reference; the electric Porsche Taycan is alleged to be Cd .22.
