The car in my [current] avatar pic, the Baha-haha. I was driving it in the 70s when someone left-turned into me. I pocketed the insurance money and went out and bought a set of 1940 Buick headlights and Jeep hood latches.

It worked out pretty well, except cutting the front half of the fenders off reduced the [36hp] top speed by 5mph. Later the whole front clip was replaced from the A-pillar forward.

Haha, well there aren't many laws regarding that here. It was going to be chopped off and have a 30's grill and suspension grafted on. But when I got a job offer a few states away I moved and sold many of my projects

That wagon would look interesting as a rat-rod. Especially with a vinyl rooftop like those hearses...

The Baha-haha was a rat rod, in 1975. I drove it for nine years and then sold it because it didn't have a sunroof. A year later I found this '56 oval window sunroof

This was 20 years before patina was in. Heck, my bullet-nosed Studebaker was 30 years before the 'dare to be different' bumperless shark-mouth Studebakers.

The narrow whitewalls were accessory rubber rings.

Surprisingly none of Mad Max cars made it into this thread yet. I'll post my favorite first.

And did somebody say pickup truck?
