I think CdA is better than just Cd to use personally. If you increase the area while decreasing the Cd might not gain you anything mpg wise.

Yes and no, it's not a linear relationship.

A recent discussion comparing the GM EV-1 Impact to the smaller first generation Honda Insite was quite reveling.
