I crave Oxygen. And I'm with Xist, a titrated dose might be a local insult to the tree, but be fatal to the hole's occupant.

I don't think that word can be used in conjunction with injecting liquid nitrogen into the cambium tissue of a pine tree.
I did titrations in chemistry lab and I can't find a way to make a connection.
A 'well-to-trunk' life cycle cost analysis may prove that a flotilla of liquid nitrogen injecting drones would do more harm to the planet than the beetles.

A disruptive technology would use piezoelectric effect to chill the Nitrogen (else air) as it's injected, mooting your cost analysis.

If you're so confident of it's efficacy, then run the hypothetical life cycle cost analysis and report back.

The woodpeckers seem like the simplest solution.

If aircraft created more shade... "Flying bum" airship concept updated with motors powered by fuel cells alongside diesel engines.

I don't think Flying Bum is helpful. Did you read Deltoid Pumpkiinseed?

The Aereon--the Deltoid Pumpkin Seed-- promised to be a safe workhorse of the skies, capable of carrying the payload of entire freight trains with minimal cost. In this exquisitely crafted tale of back-to-the-drawing-board perseverance, McPhee tells the story not only of the Aereon, but of any product development team. ...
The original Aereon was a trimaran.

I dislike most birds, and especially woodpeckers. They can go.

A local university business college will do a complete business model for you as a student project, if you'll make some one-time endowment to the department.
