Here's my paintshop idea of what it would be from the side. Is this correct?
The small indentation won't matter much at all.

As it goes all the way to the sides, it's not a parachute like the foglights seem to be.

That's my next mod goal. Fog light covers a la JRMichler's design.

Thanks for the help.

Edit: Making progress with the plans, but now I'm starting to wonder how far forward I should make the new [horizontal] lower lip extend. Would .5" (1.27cm) suffice? Subtle and functional are my goals, not sporty.

The dam will extend 3" lower than current. Plus, I intend to overlap it .5" with the existing dam to screw it in. So the material width will be 3.5" plus the size of the horizontal splitter section.

I am tinkering with a different design...again. This one is inspired by the BamZipPow t100.

I'm open to critique. The basic idea is to remove the lower valence (the small lower lip - not the entire black section) and use the same mounting points and mounting style for a similar dam that is about 3" lower. There is a bolt on each side of the valence that can't be seen in this picture.

The hard part will be fabricating clips that are built the same way as stock. For now, step one is a cardboard template.

I am also interested to hear if there are any considerations on material, since the new design will be longer to account for the removal of the stock valence.
