90 Ft. Mortite Rope Caulk

Model # B2
Store SKU # 382841

$5.17/EA-Each

Mortite is the original name in do-it-yourself caulking; and it's still famous for quality & versatility. Mortite Weatherstrip and Caulking Cord will seal windows effectively. But it's also widely used as a gasketing material, sound deadener, insect barrier, crack filler and all around plugger-upper.

* Rope Caulk
* Special Project
* Use to fill cracks around windows or doors
* Fills up to 1/4" Gap

But I do recall seeing a specific temporary rope caulk that was for seasonal use. but this would do the same.

I wasn't able to find that brand but I got what I needed (amazing how that works when you ask for assistance )

ya its kinda important. I have 2 big patio doors that are 30 years old and in pretty bad shape. The whole living room/kitchen/dining room is always very drafty. I'd love to replace them, but its just not in the cards at the moment.

I'll report how well it works in a week.

also a good tip for others is they make faceplate gaskets for lightswitches/electrical outlets. I installed those all around last year and noticed a marked improvement in my gas bill (about 10 bucks a month, not too shabby!!!). I guess it depends on the build quality of your house but if you have areas that aren't great with wall insulation, it really can make a big difference.
