The best thing about this election cycle is just that it's over.

I am thankful that I was not involved in the recent elections, but far away as Australia is, we were bombarded by the daily garbage stream. My son is currently studying for a semester in Arizona and his stories of the media coverage and rallies is a real eye opener for me.
Here is to hoping that the president elect has a rush of sanity.

As for the election I would point out Scott Adams' blog from August 2015 onwards.
He correctly predicted Trump would win, when it was thought highly unlikely by almost anyone, and also explained why it would happen - and he was right with that too.
It got tense when the Clinton team wised up and used the same technique, but too late.

The thread is taking a Lounge-worthy bent; but I wasn't surprised because I'd followed Scott Adams and Stephan Molyneux right along.
During the Obama re-election I just read the transcripts of his speeches, because it was known he was hypnotizing whole rooms full of people.
Then when it came to Trump, it became The Art of Persuasion. At least his speeches didn't have the weird NLP aspects Obama's did.
