No it definitely is not.
Different engine, different battery layout and supplier, the ZOE is a B-class car (VW Polo size) when the Leaf is a C-class car (VW Golf size).
Renault and Nissan made an Alliance in 1999 but despite all our efforts, there is a lot left to be allowed to call it "same".
I work for Renault by the way.

Don't waste your time... you won't convince him.

Back on topic - I hope the Eolab is foreshadowing the gen 2 Leaf. That would be a very good thing.

Most likely not. (B-Pf vs C-Pf)
Current gas prices not helping with EV sales either, I don't know if we will see 2nd gen Leaf's or Zoe's except for the phase 2.
Issue with EV's is their range and energy refill time drag them to round-town operation where aero performance is not number one priority.

I am not sure what this means - can you clarify, please?
The Chevy Bolt concept, and the Tesla Model 3 are also promised for the same time frame as the 2nd gen Leaf, with similar ranges; so I hope we see all three.

B platform car : Polo size
C platform car : Golf size
I didn't know about a 2nd gen Leaf.
I only know about the Zoe phase 2 which should see a worthwhile range improvement.
I am quite lost in the Gen naming.
Usually a phase 2 is minor trim and maybe engines evolution and the way I see it a Gen is a major reskin or a brand new car.
