I reinstalled my rear deck spoiler, no noticeable difference in fe and I did not want to leave the aluminum tape over the mounting holes. I also lower my tire pressure a little in the winter. I have opened a small area in my grill block due to the fan kicking on and reducing mpg's due to the extra load on the alternator. I had tried a 5.6k ohm resistor in my IAT sensor wiring as per some on another forum I frequent, but I removed it after it showed better power, but lower mpg's. Last tank was my best ever at 46.4 mpg.

The mods have to fit the driver's technique and the road conditions generally encountered? If the driver can't (or does not want to) adjust technique to the mods, or if the mods don't fit the conditions, the mods usually have to go?

I've removed my grille block to verify it wasn't causing my DPF issues.
Haven't put it back on since, but the MPG have gone up regardless.

I've been a truck driver for so long, I can't really get comfortable without all the mirrors. I tried on a few trips by folding back both mirrors.
Now I have a plan to fold them and mount a small mirror on the back edge. It will pacify the trucker in me, I hope.

I ended up getting rid of my adjustable shocks because lowering my car didn't help, it made it bumpy and rough to drive and started wearing out my suspension faster.

As I am trading in I removed all mods. Found only a slight difference in noise with the grill block removed, otherwise nothing - in fact my latest FE is better than ever.

The only mod I have kept is higher tyre pressures - that has worked on all cars / vans / SUVs I have driven. Other than that the only other mod that has worked is technique.

Do you want to sell the grillblock ?
I'd have to sell the idea to my sister first though

I'd removed the useless rear spoiler on my SE-R for ~5000 miles, and thought its removal initially improved my fuel economy. I reinstalled the spoiler ~2000 miles before giving it to my daughter's family, and noticed no difference in fuel economy.

California98Civic, Any individual ecomod mentioned in this thread might improve fuel economy 1%-3% at best. That's why none of us shed any tears over their reversal.

As long as you are OK with my badly cut inlet hole and will pay postage you can have it for 0 Euro.
