Might be worth doing that. One thing I remember from the TV at the time this Polo was new (early 90s ?) was the number of cars with intakes set quite low - Renaults mainly. Some of them would drive through a sizeable puddle and then suck in water, water doesn't compress - so bang goes the engine.

Look forward to the pics. Did you find replacements in the same colour or are you going for the Harlequin look ?

Kind of harliquin, running a red grille and primer-white front bumpers,

didn't change the rad as its been my daughters birthday weekend so I haven't had time - hence the lack of photos, but I correct that soon enough!

Biscuits??

love 'em

Red triangle apparently works for SPAM reporting.

I came to work not hungry. Now I have a real need for a hob-nob.

No Mods - too busy at work,

Got to re-align the headlights tonight so there is a good enough reason to remove the whole front end for some photos!(don't need to,but hey, its only a couple of screws!)

I got to 523miles with a 1/4left this morning, normally I'd be on the red by now. seems accident damage can help FE! or maybe its just me being a little more gentle with the old girl?!

Sounds very very promising...

I've been benchmarking on this avensis- now filled the tank for trying some coasting down to junctions etc- I have pelnty of them on the commute.

Do you reckon you'll see 65mpg?

65MPGuk I think is do-able in standard trim... maybe not on this tank though.
