I had to check whether I am in The Lounge.

I'm with you, Frank. My son, OTOH is real middle-class (3-bed 2-bth, SRT-8, etc.).

In the 70s I used to mow lawn for this guy, until he gave away all his money (at which point his wife left him). In the 80s he was trying to live on the world-wide average per human, which meant he could only budget $22.50/mo for rent. Nobody else would rent on his terms, so I did.

Years later I saw an ad on a bulletin board for a couple looking to rent for $45/mo. and I thought Charles found a new relationship. I checked and it turned out to be true.
