The updated Arragonis cockpit experience:

Yep, the wheel is on the right (i.e. "Correct") side

The red box is the built in display - here be dragons, but sometimes useful ones. Hermann has 2 computers both of which do drugs when estimating MPG but seem to wake up when estimating range.

The SG2 sits in the green box so it is visible. I have MPG / AVG / DegC WT / GPH as my dispays. I used to have intake temps but they never varied even when on "full chat".

The Blue box is my sane area - DAB Radio (BBC 6 Music FTW) as well as an input for MP3 players which this Ł40K+ luxury car of 2006 is somehow missing...

And here

You can see the lever that only moves front to back...

Want to share an idea for adding a switch for ecomods.

Only 7 years after switching to my present Peugeot 308, I finally installed the 12V coolant heater that I had in the 307. Unfortunately, the 308 dashboard does not have a neat place to display a collection of switches, buttons and LEDs like the 307 had, so I had to improvise.
Now, caution must be taken with the 12V coolant heater: If turned on when the engine is off it can boil the coolant, melt the hoses and possibly fry the heating elements; if left on too long then the engine will have more load and fuel consumption, possibly also overheat.
So I wanted to ensure this does not get turned on by mistake or by any other drivers.
I used a protected toggle switch, mounted next to the stick shift:

This switch has a red LED to additionally remind me that the 12V heater is on.

Here's mine. Controls on the shifter for manual override of the hybrid system, and a screen to monitor them. OE instrument cluster has all the fuel economy monitoring I need, and last I checked it was within 0.2% of my calculations at the pump. So, probably more accurate than the pump.
