I have to have the rain guards lol. . .During the summer anyway. If my Del Sol is cooking at its been hot and then starts raining I can't leave the windows up(even if the back is down). It fogs up immediately(No AC period).

Those mirrors are intended to be mounted on top of the standard mirrors, increasing frontal area. By using them instead of your normal mirrors, you reduce your FA. Isn't that neat?

And the great thing is that it's incredibly cheap AND one of the best side mirror replacement options available.

Not to mention the fact that it's completely legal in most likely all states (or at least legal enough to appease the police and hopefully safety inspections).

I, too, would like to know what the other options are.

I just received mine today. (yay! It's just like Christmas!) Some of the Engrish on the back of the package is entertaining;

"It cannot function in case it is attached others than on the side mirror.
Excessive adjustment of angle might cause the breakage of the product.
Fold the side mirrors inside when cleaning the car with automatic cleaning system.
Do not use it with other usage than its function."

Hi Terry,

I put mine on the passenger side last week -- it works best if it is horizontal. If you try it vertically, then things "move" in it very quickly -- to quickly to be usable, IMO.
