Sailboat windows use Lexan / polycarbonate and Plexi in their windows so inspiration could be had directly from their design.
One way is to sandwich the lexan with a frame around it but that is not the prettiest.
The more pleasing to the eye method ( IMO) is when they use a rubber gasket to pressure fit the glass in place, the rubber gasket material is a common item.

Is lexan street legal where you live? Some states do not allow for it in the safety inspection guidelines, although I don't believe Fed DOT has even formed an opinion on it.

I've used it, never had a problem with it... but some officer, some day, may flag you for it.

There are some Fed legal plastic windshields out there, golfcart folks use them sometimes.

But this is a motorcycle...

That's why it is a motorcycle and not a passenger car. I can always get it inspected without the windshield. It's good enough for race cars.

Never seen a bike with a glass windshield.

The windshield material is the same used on the F22 Raptor.

If a Raptor (F22) hit a Raptor (Peregrin or Veloci-) I doubt that the resulting state of the lexan would matter to either mind involved.

In case I wasn't subscribed before... subscribed. And thank you for sharing all the details.

The angle of the windshield to level ground is 23 degrees. The Fiesta's windshield is 28 degrees. The thickness is greater than that used in a race car, at least that is what the machine shop owner told me and he builds race cars. I figure if I keep it waxed (non abrasive of course) when it rains the raindrops will just blow right over the top of the windshield, probably at any speed over 10 MPH. Sitting still they will just run off the front.

Wheelbase is right at 96 inches.

Take a look at httpwwwsheffieldplasticscomweb_docs/pds/PDS124_TX.pdf and httpswwwfederalregistergov/articles/2003/07/25/03-18924/federal-motor-vehicle-safety-standards-glazing-materials-low-speed-vehicles

You'll have to put the punctuation back in. Apparently I can't post links yet.

I don't do legalese as well as I used to but these seem to say that some polycarbonates are DOT approved.

On my race/street cars with Lexan windshield that I have had in the past I just used rainx and it worked great!!! As you said with a 23 degree angle the drop's will just fly off.

By the way, nice work on your project!!!
