Watch CleanMPG on January 11th. Wayne had a private preview of this Insight, by invitation of Honda. He got a bunch of driving time with it. He'll give us a good picture of how a hypermiler can handle it. He had to sign non-disclosure papers until the 11th.

1922 Jaray/Klemperer "brick" Cd0.16 is reminiscent of new Honda.----------------Prius' roofline should have paved the way for public acceptance of Insight.Looks good!

And the crowd hisses "Prius Knockoff!"
And the ecomodders hiss "Where's the arch covers!?"
Wonder if the CVT will act PROPERLY or if they made it "seem like a normal transmissions".

Looks like an updated Prius, possibly a little bit longer and not quite as tall?

I think it's prettier than a Prius, but I wish it came in stick-shift, .

It's a fair bit smaller than the Prius. Smaller than the Civic, even. Think of a Fit, with a slightly stretched back end, and you're close.
Stick shift - yeah, I also wish for that.

Thanks for the Wayne review tip, PaleMelanesian. I'll be reading that.
I still think Honda is underestimating the importance of EV mode in the public's embrace of hybrid technology. I predict they're not going to sell as many of these as they think, and Toyota will continue to dominate the segment.

I know a manual would be ideal for this type of car, but how would it work on the electric side? Hate to thread jack, but I have always wondered how a manual transmission would work with an electric motor.
