solar pannel charging issue

im wanting to make a homebrew solar charger.a 6"x6" pannel x6
1 for each battery with plans for a quick break to separate contacts of each
battery. The issue is i need a way to auto disconect the solar pannels when
batteries reach full charge so as to not damage batteries by overcharging.
is there a cheap solution that i might can buy at the local radio shack
or other local stores.and will i need a diod on the + from the pannel to
keep battery bleed from hurting my pannels.

I have a "marine style" flexible solar panel :

For $20, I got this to go between the panel and car battery (via the cigarette lighter outlet) :

Sunforce Products 60012 7 amp Charge Controller : Hechinger

Because of the low amps of the solar panel I have been assured that it isn't needed for my solar panel :

CarloSW2,
In my experience, a charge controller is unnecessary for anything less than 100W while charging pB-A battery. You do loose power without a MMPT, but it is not necessary. The current is what charges the battery, and it will be delivered at whatever the battery voltage is instead of the nominal operating voltage. You could just put your panels in parallel and be done with it.
However, I have murdered many a battery in my day, and I like to see the "charging light", so I am happy with the setup.
