I agree. It won't look anything like what they think it will. I'm thinking lots of nuclear power and CO2 being piped into depleted oil wells to get more oil out of them.

Information goes off-planet (happening now) -- no power to cell towers.
Mining goes off-planet.
Manufacturing goes off-planet

The big danger is making edible protein directly from atmospheric CO 2. That leads to ruination.

Not exactly what I had in mind when I mentioned net-zero. Well, despite some European governments harassing farmers, it's possible for a farmer when not harassed by the government to achieve net-zero on his own property, yet some rules of the international carbon-credit trading are quite a PITA for anyone other than big corporations to comply.

The bird cooking natural gas burning "solar power plant" will probably close.

Nothing but good news for 2 weeks aside from that plane and helo crash which seemed like it was only a matter of time before it happened.

I dislike birds, but that aside, an already built thing shouldn't cost much.

There still a couple of them mirror power stations out in Nevada boonies, unsure if the Luz pairs in Mojave still function. Do know the Luz pair didn't fry a lot of birds, mostly because there werent many and then they shut down at night when birds migrate. Definable blinding, don't think the solar fry cooking bit works.
You can see the towers glow super white for at least 25 miles.

' birds '
If you're concerned about the welfare of birds you'll want to get rid of all the glass skyscrapers like POTUS is so fond of. They kill more birds than any other human-built structure.
Probably get rid of Edwards Air Force Base. The remote radar site's microwave radiation converts passing birds into smoke.

I only hate birds that poop on my car and my solar panels.

I'd like to see that. We know ivanpah is instant bird disablement followed by a probably slow death.
I'd like to see all these dead birds from radars.
Ive been driving past, within 40 feet of an air surveillance radar 5 days a week for to last 2 and a half years that blasts out out up to 25kw at 3ghz. Never seen a dead bird anywhere near it. How many years does it take for one of these radars to kill a bird? Or do they only kill birds on Saturdays?
