I know solar inverters are sensitive to tripping but I had no idea they were that bad.

' CSP '
If you continue to follow the evolution of CSP in the popular science press, you get to where an 'owner' burns his home down with his CSP while at work one day.
CSP reporting in the press goes 'cold' at that point in time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My dad and I toured the DOE, ERDA, E-System's pilot CSP power-plant near Crosbyton, Texas in the 1970s.
It performed beyond all engineering expectations, and 200-foot diameter dishes were planned.
ERDA pulled all funding, and the pilot facility was so demolished that, today there's no trace that it ever existed. Just like 'Dad's Corner,' a former Texas oil boom town my dad 'showed' me. Not even a single nail exists.

I knocked the frames off my hail damaged panels. The Samsung neon black 330w panels use right about 5lb of aluminum each.
So it would see or maybe I'm wrong comparin 2020 tech to 2015 tech with my theoretical 240w panels on the first page to my modern Samsung panels. It seems to get the most efficient use of aluminum used just get the biggest panels you possibly can. If a 240w panel uses about 2kg a 330w panel uses 2.2kg and so does that mean a gigantic 430w panel uses 2.5kg?
Saving the world through increased consumption.
I think I made a post with that exact same title once.

You see, it costs a lot to reduce consumption. If you aren't saving enough, it's simply that you haven't spent enough.

My replacement panels are used 295w panels from santan solar. They were about $80 each shipped. They are slightly taller and appear to be putting out the same or equal power the the Samsung's
The replacement panels are 72 cell and run at higher voltage. My guess is the cheap higher voltage less efficient panels are overall more efficient with the micro inverter compared to running 60 cell Samsungs.
The cheap used panels appear to be out preforming the Samsungs.
Also I went with extreme weather utility grade panels with 4mm glass. They weigh 10lb each more than the Samsungs.

Oh they are more hail resistant. Disregard the other question.

Probably think I have returned to spit all over green energy again. Oh how right you are.
Inconvenient wind destroys solar farms releasing toxic heavy metals into the ecosystem.

That looks to me to be an argument for point-of-use solar.

I guess it's easier to weatherproof (or at least shielding for a while) point-of-use solar too.
