I'm just glad that you were not alone on the road.

I had a couple of punks shine one of those 100,000 candle power spotlights on me.
When I would slow down to let them pass, they pulled in front of me and slowed to a crawl ( all the while shining the spotlight at me.) When I tried to go around them, they swerved to keep me behind them.
I didn't have a cell phone and no form of protection. This was at 3:00 in the morning in the middle of nowhere.
What would you do in a situation like that ?
I have 100W off road lights. I'd turn the 4 of them on. Then, I'd speed up and ram them. It's 3 in the morning, and you're all along with them. If they're like most people, ram their car and they'll leave you alone because you're the crazy one now.

Whip out the 911 or the 1911? Yeah, we have those pr*cks around here too, I locked up my brakes on a tailgater a couple years back at around 60mph, made him do 3 or 4 full spins off the road and out into a pasture. Probably not the most responsible thing to do, but it was fun...

LOL, it seems like an expensive game to play. I guess if you have the right vehicle, maybe a 1 ton truck with a plow mount on the front... Probably they wouldn't be shining the light at you to start with.

I was getting tail gated by a tractor trailer one day coming back from the hardware store with a bag of 3.5" nails... It was tempting to grab one and just hold it between my finger tips out the window so he could see it. My turn off was soon so I didn't bother. I imagine it would be a good way to get a visit from the police too.

When blinded by spotlight, stop the car. If they stay there... ram them and say "they blinded me and slowed down, how could i avoid them?"

well, being in Texas, just like you, I would of reached either in my waist, or under the back seat of my truck and pulled out a gun.

This is exactly the reason why I stay cool and collected anymore.

Hiya,

I have only had one angry response (for no apparent reason): a guy on a Harley passed me in the left lane as i was driving in the right lane, and he looked at me as he went around, and then after he pulled back into the lane ahead of me -- he flipped the bird.

Oh well.

To balance that, I have gotten a big smile and a thumbs up from at least one person, too. And lots of questions in parking lots...

I would have turned around, and lost them. Or tried anyway. but I live in a small city, near a large city with lots of streets, turns, and alleys. Iv lost people before. Bad for FE, but fun none the less...

I'm more curious how they call you that when they're driving a Neon.

I'm not sure if people are nicer here, or I've just lucked out so far. I've not seen any mad people or gotten called any names or anything.
