spreading the ecomodding word
I was at the store getting ready to leave when some guy in a fusion was stopped and staring at me in my car. I did the logical thing and made faces at him. He came and asked me what was on the front of my car and over my wheels. I gave him a short speech on ecomodding. His responce was I should just get a fuzion because he always gets over 30 mpg. I responded with "oh, I get between 47 and 50". And then a brick fell out of his pants leg. Lol.

But the very constructive "If you try, you can do better than that" message probably stuck.

I'm in favor of making faces. Someone in a soov, that calls for hand gestures.

Because hand gestures don't validate many suv drivers' views that people who drive small efficient cars are sanctimonious pricks?

I drive a mid-sized, inefficient car, FWIW.

I was not trying to imply that you are one of those drivers of small cars who think they are better human beings because of it. I drive small efficient car, I use to be a truck and SUV kind of guy partly because I did not have far to drive (so fuel economy was unimportant) and partly because I knew a few small car drivers who thought I was the scum of the earth. Looking back on it I should have rode a bike. I think that friendly exuberance wins hearts and minds better than "hand gestures" (Which I read mean the bird but could very well have misunderstood)
