Xist, what kind of mpg do you manage? I think That's a phase 2 sohc ej25 in yours vs the phase 1 dohc in mine, but that's the closest to mine a I'll get short of another 98.
Also, any idea what kind of PID read rates you get?

When I finish this round of exams I will fix my UltraGauge mount and see what my PID.
I average 24 MPG mixed, which is my EPA highway rating. I guess that is decent, with winter fuel.

I have noted my 02 forester goes open loop much easier than my 99 escort. right around when manifold pressure gets to 13psi or higher.

Hmmm, I guess considering you get 24mpg combined my 20mpg is not so bad with my mods. Subarus seemed to get pretty mixed results as far as mpgs. I wonder if theres some improvememts that coiuld be had in the ecu.
I had a look at my coolant temps which are ranging from about 83c on the highway to 89c at idle.
Watching my timing advance, looks like the ecu might be able pulling timing because of ostensible knock. I'll have to try some premium. Kind of doubt it's really knockimng though. Thinking it might be incorrectly detecting knock.

What kind of lift did you do?

Nope, NA.
That's absolute manifold pressure not boost according to the ultragauge,

bestclimb: good to know I'll have to do some data logging on the manifold pressure along side timing advance. I've wondered about the condition of my valves, which could raise intake manifold a bit, not enough to bring open loop as early as it is coming, or so I would imagine. What's pressure do you read at idle?
I did a strut bottom lift. You can't clear tires this size with the usual strut spacers as they'll hit the spring perch. I've seen a few guys do it but not many. It was cheap and its held up well, but it requires running 20mm(maybe 15) wheel spacers up front, which mucks up the steering geometry a bit, plus I haven't gotten the rear sway bar hooked back up so it understeers like a pig. If i had it to do over I might try to combine some coilovers ( for spring perch clearance) with some strut spacers, since it would be less detrimental to the handling not to mention the wheel bearings. plus I'd go a little smaller on the tires so as to reduce the amount I had to bash in the firewall.

I think around 4ish, but will have to double check next time I drive it. It drops to ~2.5 when engine braking, I think. Next time I drive I will take note.

When Zerohour ecomodded his Outback he replaced his rear sway bar and showed how skinny the stock one was. I do not like how mine corners!
I will always miss my 1987 Prelude. Do you think that being a full foot shorter (height-wise) helped the cornering?
