^^ That could be fairly expensive. I'd stick with the auto for a while, then find a cheap used XFE manual tranny. *grins wider*

If it's an SS, I'd buy it and resell it! It's worth more then that!

The SS has a 2.0L turbocharged direct injection engine. I suspect that the 2.0L should be capable of better mileage then the 2.2 in the right hands, since it has direct injection that should allow for lean burn, plus it's a smaller displacement.

EIther way, it's a good deal, and i'd snap it up.

I think the LS, LT and XFE get the 2.2L (145hp)

The sport has the 2.4L (171hp)

The SS has a smaller 2.0L but its turbocharged (260hp)

Im just skeptical because Im currently almost getting 30mpg

and an automatic sport might yield just that

(resale wise, its salvage title, but only rear end collision)

Interesting. I thought they cut the 2.4L engine in the 2007 model year. Apparently not.

Either way the 2.4L is just a stroked version of the 2.2. It won't get much worse fuel economy, and it has a bit more torque.

My other car is an echo. It dosen't have torque. None. At All.

I don't care if you tell me it's a physics violation, that a rotating assembly with 105 HP produces 0 torque. This is me not caring. No Torque. Ever. At Any RPM.

And thanks for the compliments on the cobalt pseudo-build thread. I've invited two other people to put their cobalt builds in the thread, one of which owns a coveted XFE.

I have my plans for the chin tray, but i was busy with work this weekend.

Meh, not to worried about it. getting back on topic. Kind of..

I'd take that cobalt. The basic shape isn't too terrible, and i think with mods the cd can come down a bit.

The engine is pretty big for it's class, so i don't worry about cruising around town in 5th.
