Taking the plunge, first mod. (foam grille block, '14 Ford Fiesta 1.0t)
This is a temp grill block to see how it works. If i see results, I am going to sculpt some smooth aerodynamic foam inserts for upper and lower grill openings. I used to fly model airplanes and I plan to cover the foam with monocote heat shrink film like the planes. I have a 400mi road trip coming up, we'll see if my mpgs go up a bit.

Nice! Usually first mods are made out of painter's or duct tape so your's should hold up better than most other first attempts.

Ha ha, my car is too new to be sticking duct tape to the paint.

I can't tell from your picture, have you blocked both upper and lower grilles completely?
I would not go that far unless you keep an eagle eye on your temperatures!

Also watch for the cooling fans running a lot if you can monitor that or hear them.

Adding an opening over the radiator is advisable. I've run full grill blocks on several vehicles in the past and have always had to scale back to varying degrees to support cooling airflow to the radiator.

I'm starting to get that feeling from you all, i may pull one of the foam pieces out; that's the beauty of doing it the way I did; I can open a little at a time.
I will say, that I drove about 8 (15 min) miles with it like is and the temp never rose above normal. But monitoring the Inlet air temp; it was 5-10 deg above ambient.
