I'll bet it was a LOT of fun!

I was in line at a traffic light today *right* next to one, and I didn't realize it until they pulled away...

Awesome! The skydiving comparison ought to please Tesla quite a bit. Yeaow! I see these cars very frequently out here (lots of wealthy people in Orange County, CA). It's really a good looking, conservative appearance, stylish sedan. Much cooler than the Fiskers I see on the road sometimes.

Thanks!

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

I live in the wealthiest county in Wisconsin - we have lots of lakes all right next to each other here, so it's high property values. I've seen more Tesla Model Ss in the wild than I have LEAFs around here!

(No Fiskers though...)

(PS. Our state has ZERO incentives for EVs. Booo! )

Today was National Plug-In Day, and so I headed out to Madison, Wisconsin (which is a more progressive area) for the event taking place there.

We had at least:
A Flock of Nissan Leafs (like 15 of them....)
2 Hymotion Prius'
An actual Toyota Plug-In Prius
A prototype electric truck made by a PHD candidate
A pair of electric scooters made by a startup company based in Madison
Ford Focus Electric
Ford C-Max Energi
Several electric bikes
and a Tesla Model S

The Tesla was only there briefly at the end. I spent most of my time talking the the prototype electric truck guy and the electric scooter guys.
