Well. with only 4 days remaining on this software, I think I am out of time to try to figure out any accurate numbers on CFD. On top of that, I am going camping until friday, so that gives me only today to use the software before they cut it off.

It was fun while it lasted. I did find out 1 good thing about my car while using it. The mirrors on the Del Sol really mess with the airflow, in a bad way. They manage to seperate a lot of air from the sides of the car which doesn't have enough time to re-attach annd it generates a lot of turbulance. I will definitely be looking at a mirror delete (either interior mirrors or cameras) in the future. On the note of cameras (not meaning to get too far off topic), has anybody actually done cameras as side view mirrors? I have searched the forums and have only found talk, with no action or pictures.

Looks like autodesk is finding that real CFD codes are difficult to work with and verify

GREAT!! I look forward to seeing your results. I have been hoping that more people would post some results on this, because I just don't currently have the time to be messing with the 3D models (very times consuming) and my grill block I have been working to perfect, plus all of the every day things in life I have going on.

If you get anywhere with it please post some pics on here of what you have been able to accomplish. Or any issues you are having with it, so that others may also be able to learn from it.

I tried the falcon and it only does 2d. I select 3d but it won't do it.
I can't even find a 3d model of a sunfire and I don't have time to make one.

I did run some tests in flow simulator and got these. It seems that removing the spoiler and air dam might give the best results. I waited until the flow stabilized before I took the shots.

Did you read the first post in this thread? That doesn't look like falcon to me... Maybe it is just because I haven't used a 2D model in Falcon
