I'm not sure what I'm looking for. I mostly want to get quieter tires that also still achieve a good MPG.
I'm getting the feeling you are looking for an answer that isn't there.

Is that really necessary?

Look to see if you can get Michelin Defenders... check 175/70-R13 ... it is a great size and was available when I bouht my current set. They are twice the cost of some others, but they are rated to last twice as long. That'll save you money, since you'll only have to ship once and mount/balance once (instead of twice with 2 sets of cheapo tires for the same miles).

I just checked the Michelin Defenders out and they are available in the size you mentioned.

$354 with shipping.

Thanks for the info!
