Boring old collegiate racing, *shrug*

It's troublesome riding in these crappy winter months (but I did get a nice, if muddy, ride in the 50 degree freak weather yesterday).

Don't you collegiates have a training setup. Might as well get used to riding and working for those that are on your team?

Nothing formal in the winter. We're div II so it's a little lazy.

Racing. ummmm. When I did that hill climbing ride a made sure I road a lot of hills prior to actually doing it. I am no expert on training, but I think riding frequently and pushing yourself regularly (a few times a week) will show improvement. If you are riding with a team get some practice with pacelines.

I on would go on mini time trails near my house. I would do a 7 mile loop with some hills . My best time was 24 minutes.

I just checked my speed. That would be 17mph. Not bad considering the 300 feet of climb.

The only problem here is finding decent hills on decent roads...can you link me up with an elevation bike map thing? I'll show you my usual ride.

If you lived somewhere flat. You could always go riding when its super windy. They always say that it's easier to get in shape climbing hills vs. trying to ride very fast, because there is less thought required

Ride fixed, improves your spinning, or so I hear. Ride rollers, that's supposed to help. Other than that, I don't know, racing isn't exactly my thing.
